P4

All these sound files in the folder are the ones i used for my podcast. I cut out a lot of the sound that was in each recording. The only recording I didn't use was some of the vox pops that did not sound good or were not answered well.

Before the actual recording for the podcast begun, I had to prepare and produce a script and a list of questions to ask people. after my script was complete, myself and the people featured in my podcast (Hannah and Jack), went out to record in a room that was quiet and booked in advance. Once the recording was complete, they had to sign a release form giving me permission to use their voices on the podcast. I then went and got some vox pop recordings, in which i asked them several questions about the subject my podcast was on. i then began to edit this together and added in my vox pops after the official podcast and then began to add sound tracks that related to my podcast subject. (which was the film 'Hot Fuzz')

When recording, I used a microphone as we did not need a camera as it is not a video recording. I edited the podcast on 'Audition', an adobe software. And collected my music and sound tracks off of YouTube and from non copyright sound websites. I used royalty free sounds instead of getting them off of YouTube and other places so my podcast wouldn't be taken down due to copyright issues. I used a YouTube sound clip in there because i could not find another that would fit and i am not profiting off of this podcast in any way and it is for educational purposes.

Treatment, review and fact file powerpoint:

Script:

Holly: Hey how is everyone doing, I don’t care, let’s get on with the show.

(introduction or fade out/in)

Holly: Today I am here with two very good friends of mine, Hannah and Jack. Say hi you two.

Hannah: Hello
Jack: Hi

Holly: This week we will be discussing a comedy classic and personal favourite of mine created in 2007, Hot fuzz. Either of you watched it?

Hannah: Not recently but it isn’t one i’m going to forget anytime soon.

Jack: Only recently. Honestly, not at all what I expected.

Holly: How so?

Jack: well, I expected it to be a serious film for some reason, although, I should’ve expected a comedy because of the actors.

Hannah: Yeah, i don’t think I’ve ever seen Simon Pegg or Nick Frost in a serious film.

(Jump cut: fade out/in)

Holly: so guys. Favourite character?

Hannah: I think mine would have to be Skinner.

Jack: The supermarket owner?

Hannah: yeah him. I like how cynical and sneaky he is, like when he drives past the house that exploded playing the song ‘fire’, one of my favourite scenes. (laugh)

Jack: I think my favourite character is Danny, he’s just so childish and happy, it’s adorable, which now I say it out loud sounds really creepy. (laughs)

Holly: How about a favourite scene? Mine was literally all the fight scenes, I like how they manage to make it comedic and serious at the same time.

Hannah: I can’t decide, the gory parts are probably my favourite.

Holly: uuh, cool (nervous laugh)… Jack?

Jack: Well, my favourite part is the play near the beginning, It just reminds me of a lot of people I know who calls themselves an ‘actor’.

Holly: Very sassy, very true.

(clackson/alarm)

Holly: Won’t you look at the time, it’s the facts round! A personal favourite of mine. Somewhere you should have a piece of paper with a bunch of facts related to hot fuzz written down. We have 30 seconds to read out as many facts as possible. Don’t mess it up.

(clackson/alarm)

~Improv till end~

(clackson sounds again)

Holly: Ok so that was the end of quick fire facts, anyone learn anything?

Jack: ehhh (basically no)

Hannah: I am still surprised that Peter Jackson was part of the film

Holly: ok

(Jump cut: fade in/out)

Holly: Well IMDB gives the film 8.9 stars out of 10, which is very good, what would you guys rate it?
Hannah: I think i would have to give it 7 stars, although it has been a while since watching it, the comedy is something i can never forget.

Jack: i would say 6.5 stars. I don’t know, I just don’t think it’s for me.

Holly: Both good points, I would have to give it 7.5 stars, the comedy and overall feel of the movie go together really nicely, and it’s a first for the action movie genre.

Holly: Alright I am going to be asking a couple more people for their opinions on the film. So, Hannah Jack, I will see you later

J & H: bye.

(fade out)
